Cada verano los habitantes de una casa en la calle Durazno en Montevideo viajan al éste a pasar un mes en la playa. Dejan atrás una banda de plantas distribuidas en el jardín y varias de las habitaciones. Junto a las plantas, los objetos más numerosos en esta casa son los instrumentos musicales. Los que componen una colección que abarca varias tradiciones, países y continentes. En el verano de 2022 Abdul, Perkinson y Anja se han ofrecido a cuidar de las plantas esperando el regreso a la casa de quienes la habitan. La tarea ha sido sencilla y la oportunidad grande: regar una planta y aprovechar la situación para tocar un instrumento de nombre desconocido. Regar otra planta y tocar otro instrumento aún sin saberlo tocar. La maniobra ha implicado confianza en que la misma intuición que determina la cantidad de agua necesaria para cada planta, es adecuada para producir sonido con un instrumento musical.

Every summer the inhabitants of a house on Durazno Street in Montevideo travel to the east to spend a month at the beach. They leave behind a bunch of plants distributed in the garden and several of the rooms. Along with the plants, the most numerous objects in this house are musical instruments. Those that make up a collection that spans several traditions, countries and continents. In the summer of 2022 Abdul, Perkinson and Anja have volunteered to take care of the plants awaiting the return to the house of those who live there. The task has been simple and the opportunity great: water a plant and take advantage of the situation to play an instrument of unknown name. Watering another plant and playing another instrument without knowing how to play it. The maneuver has involved trusting that the same intuition that determines the amount of water needed for each plant is adequate to produce sound with a musical instrument.
